Today I heard someone say the theme for today, Valentine’s Day, should be to “eat like you love yourself”. It stuck with me, so I’m foregoing any of the usual Valentine’s Day chocolates and decided to cut up some sweet HoneyBells I received in a fruit gift box a couple weeks ago and squeeze some juice for a sweet treat today. HoneyBells are considered a cross between a grapefruit and tangerine and they are ridiculously good. These might also be found in your grocery store under the name Tangelos or Minneola Tangerines. Regardless of what you call them they are delicious and you get so much more juice out of them than regular navel oranges. The end of January is peak season for these little bells of sweetness, so the time to try is now. You won’t be disappointed! I cut up 8 HoneyBells and got a little more than a full small carafe of juice.
