Grilling season isn’t over yet! This burger keeps the summer season going while adding a twist of fall by incorporating some fall fruits. Burgers & fruit? Yup!
For this burger I just picked up a package of my favorite turkey burgers from my local grocer and grilled according to the package directions. I topped with a little sliced brie and added some apple & pear slices. I thought about throwing the apples & pears in a pan and lightly sautéing them with a little butter, but I like the flavor and crunch of the raw fruit and decided to just throw them on top of the cheese. I was not disappointed. I served the burger on a whole grain roll with a side salad of chopped kale, slivered almonds and dried cranberries tossed in a light vinaigrette dressing. Perfect way to blend the best of both seasons together!
